Bulletin Cover Letter for January 13, 2013

Dear Friends,
Our Confirmation class youth, their parents and their mentors met for dinner on Thursday. Over the next months, on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m., the confirmands will learn more about their faith and about their church. On May 6, they will have the opportunity to profess their faith before their families and the congregation and to become members of the church.
With the help of our Confirmation class leaders, Carolyn Combs, Suzy Hutchison, the youth will learn about the history of the church, and, specifically, about the United Methodist Church. They will discuss their faith and discover ways that believers live out their faith. Carolyn and Suzy will be assisted by the clergy and lay members of the church, who will offer weekly presentations. In addition, confirmands will have mentors, congregation members who have agreed to be with them through this learning experience.
I invite you to pray for these confirmands as they begin this journey: Lauren Arcuri, Maddie Brent, Logan Cockerill, Noah Daberko, Emily Eaton, Brendan Everett, Justin Hamann, Ryan Kelly, Steven McPeek, Logan Niswander, Emily Valliencourt.
