Kris Phillips, Brighton First Membership Secretary and Prayer Ministry Member Joins VCI Implementation Team

Kris Phillips agreed to be part of Brighton First's Vital Church Initiative Implementation Team. She joins a team charged with overseeing the implementation of the VCI Consultation Report.

Kris has been a part of Brighton First's congregation for nearly twelve years.  A lifelong Methodist, she came to us from central Indiana.  While residing there, she was employed as an elementary school library media specialist.  Kris and her husband John have three sons.  Ben and his wife Prithi live in Tucson, AZ.  Scott and his wife Sara live in Portland, OR.  Dan, who is a member of Brighton First, lives in Bath, MI.  He serves as a local pastor and is a certified candidate for ordained ministry. He attends Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Illinois.

Kris is currently serving as Membership Secretary.  She is a part of the Prayer Ministry, the Prayer Shawl Knitting Group, as well as the VCI-IT committee.  Kris has been a part of the Red Bird Mission team.  She also has had the opportunity to visit churches through her work on the VCI-IT.

Kris says she is very excited about the future of Brighton First.  "I feel that VCI will help us define and refine who we are as a church.  It will help us become a better version of ourselves.  I am so pleased to be a part of this process, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us here in Brighton."
