United Methodist Lay Servants Lead at Brighton First

Suzanne Everett wins a valuable
prize for completing her annual
Lay Speaker report.
In the United Methodist Church, Lay Servants are congregation members specifically trained for leadership. They receive annual training (two - four Saturdays per year) in areas of church leadership including leading prayer, leading worship, preaching, teaching Bible study, and organizing small groups. There are also classes in the history of the United Methodist Church.

We are very blessed to have a number of Lay Servants at Brighton First. We give thanks for Greg Guise, Bruce Stark, Carol Kapustka, Susanne Everette, Stephanie Nichoff, Bob Fuchs and John Phillips, our current lay servants. They are capable leaders in the areas of worship, mission, special programming, prayer, Bible study, small groups and congregational care.

Carolyn Combs wins a prize!
If you are interested in being a part of this important ministry, please contact a Lay Servant or a clergy member at Brighton First!
Bruce Stark accepts a "valuable prize" for
turning in his annual Lay Speaker report.
