Clergy and Lay Person Attend Detroit Annual Conference

Dear Friends,

This weekend your clergy and members of the church are attending the annual meeting of the Detroit Annual Conference in Adrian, Michigan. This is a regional body of the United Methodist Church that meets annually for worship and legislative purposes. Those who attend are inspired by gifted preaching and work to discern the vision of the church.

Pastor John, Deacon Loretta and I are members of the Annual Conference (rather than members of the local church) and we celebrate being in worship, prayer and fellowship with our clergy colleagues this weekend.

David Osterhoff, Sue Fuchs and Suzy Hutchison serve as delegates from our church. In addition, Dan Phillips is representing young adults and Sue Pethoud is a delegate representing the Ann Arbor District.

While we miss worshiping with you today, we are blessed to know that we are connected to you by God’s Holy Spirit.
