Dear Friends,
We celebrate
the children and youth that bring our message today through acting and song. We
are blessed by the hours that they have spent in preparation, memorizing lines
and songs, practicing staging and creating sets and props.
If your child
missed the opportunity to be a part of this year’s Brighton First Theater Camp,
there are more opportunities. Beginning in September, children will meet weekly
to learn choral and/or dramatic skills. Through the year, the group enhances our
worship services with their choral and dramatic gifts.
In addition, we
invite all children to participate in a Christmas musical. Weekly practices
will begin in the fall and the musical performance will be on Sunday, December
15 at 6:00 pm.
Adults also
have the opportunity to discover and offer their musical talents in a number of
ways at Brighton First. Our adult choir begins Thursday night rehearsals in
September. The hand bell choir, Joyful
Noise, is open to new “ringers”. If you are a musician or vocalist who has a
heart for more contemporary music, please talk with music director, Susan Snow,
about our worship band that leads our 11:00 worship service.
If your
schedule does not allow for attendance at regular rehearsals, and you or your
child would like to offer your musical talents for God’s glory, see Susan Snow.
Blessings,
Pastor Sherry
