Brighton First Sanctuary Lighting and Video Systems Receive Critical Updates

We are blessed at Brighton First to worship in a sanctuary that comfortable and equipped with adjustable lighting and audio/visual equipment.

While it may not be outwardly apparent, our lighting system is managed by a computerized system. Light settings can be programmed into the system or run manually. The initial phase of an updated programmable system was installed on February 18. The new system allows for more programmed settings and for ease of use by our worship technicians and those who use the sanctuary. With the new lighting system, we have been able to decrease the amount of light that shows on the sanctuary screens.

In the past month you may have noticed that our current sanctuary projection system is failing. The digital projectors and their lenses and have reached maturity and are now heading toward “retirement”. Our worship technician team and our trustees are working together to put in place updated equipment. Within the next month, new projectors with "long throw" lenses replace the existing projectors. They will have 50% more light.

As part of our commitment to excellent worship at Brighton First, it is essential that our equipment be maintained. Both of these projects will cost approximately $15,000.

I invite you to keep the volunteers who manage and care for our worship space in prayer.
